COSTA MESA, California (AP) -- Some parents and parishioners have accused the Roman Catholic diocese in Orange County of violating church doctrine by allowing a gay couple to enroll their children in a church school.
The group demanded that St. John the Baptist School in Costa Mesa accept only families that pledge to abide by Catholic teachings, the Los Angeles Times reported in Sunday's editions. Church doctrine opposes gay relationships and adoption by same-sex couples.
"The teachings of the church seem to have been abandoned," John R. Nixon told the Times. "We send our children to a Catholic school because we expect and demand that the teachings of our church will be adhered to."
School officials rejected the demand, and issued a new policy stating that a family's background "does not constitute an absolute obstacle to enrollment in the school."
The parents' demand would presumably prevent two adopted boys whose parents are both men from attending the school's kindergarten.
The Rev. Gerald M. Horan, superintendent of diocese schools, said that if Catholic beliefs were strictly adhered to, then children whose parents divorced, used birth control or married outside the church would also have to be banned.
"This is the quagmire that the parents' position represents," he said. "It's a slippery slope to go down."
The boys' parents, who enrolled their children at the beginning of the school year, declined to comment to the Times.
Some parents have promised to ask the Vatican to intervene and some have threatened to pull their children from the school. Others are worried the boys' attendance will set a precedent, saying their presence is part of a larger effort by the gay community to change the church.
"The boys are being used as pawns by these men to further their agenda," said Monica Sii, who has four children at the school.

The boys can't help who their parents are, nor that they're being raised by abberrations. I'll leave punishing children for what their parents (or whoever 'raises' them) to the jews.

Just the fact that the school would allow the children of these queers to attend should show these angry parents that it is not the school that their children should be attending, if these parents are truly seeking a Bible based religious education for their children.
The Bible's teachings on homosexuality are quite clear. And if this school admits these students, they are endorsing the lifestyle of these homo parents. It should not surprise anyone. Many of the so-called churches are choosing not to follow the TRUE teachings of the Bible, so why would these "religious" schools be any different?

Look, I agree schools should not be promoting this filth, there's no argument about that of course. What I do not think though is that the school should punish the boy for the sins of his father. If they don't invite this queer couple to school on family events, but allow the boy in, they're not promoting faggitude imo.

Once they allow the children of one homo couple to attend, there will naturally create an environment where there will be more. This school is once again catering to the rights of the minority at the expense of the majority, as we see so many times in society. The lifestyle of these parents should exclude their children from attending this so-called Catholic school. There are plenty of public, and non-religious private schools these children could attend. By this school welcoming them, they are promoting the parents lifestyle, in not saying anything is morally wrong with it, enough to exclude them.
This school is a perfect example of what happened in the larger society. In accepting relatively small blows against morality, these blows become larger, and in time, corrupt and eventially destroy morality as a whole.

Oh c'mon, aren't like half of seminary students homos now. And you want the church to start picking on a little kid to shore up their phony anti homo credentials :222.

I don't see how allowing in the children is any blow at all against morality. The fact that this school is Catholic is irrelevant if you apply your own reasoning consistantly, a public school allowing them would, in your views, attack public morality just the same. Should those kids be excluded from all schools? Perhaps those two filthy sodomites should homeschool them, and keep those obnoxious outside influences far away from the boys...

Contrary to how it may seem, there are still some Churches and religious organizations, though not many, that do still follow the teachings of the Bible, instead of the new "doctrine" of political correctness. Obviously this school is not one of them. I just hope that the parents who do not approve of this stand strong and pull their children out of this immoral, sodomite loving school.

Public schools, today, teach and approve all kinds of filth, so what does it matter? But many people send their children to these so-called religious schools, sometimes foolishly thinking they are going to be able to escape this type of thing.

They have every right to protest, it is a private school. People pay thousands of dollars so their children will get a religious-oriented education, free from the kind of crap like "Heather Has Two Mommies" and the other gay acceptance indoctrination stuff they push on kids in Sex Ed. It is a private school and the school headmaster, religious authority and/or parent-teacher association have a right to reject students based on who their parents are, how they are raised or whatever other criteria. There are probably many secular private schools where the parents' sexual orientation would be no issue, so why did these gay guys choose a Catholic school where their children will learn what God did to the Sodomites? Because they are troublemakers.

The fact that half of the students in a university are fags doesn't do that much damage. Students either tolerate them or not, they are capable of forming their beliefs.
Children on the other hand will face this abomination called homosexuality in early ages. They will face them when the whole class is confronted with the institute of the family and they will grow up considering homosexuality to be somewhat normal.
If I had a child going in the same school like a fag's kid I would take him out of there. Right, the adopted son/daughter can't decide who his/her parents should be, but they're virtually lost. They're going to be raised in a world promoting homosexuality and I wouldn't want any child to be confronted with that before he/she can understand the danger it means.
