Pravoslavia at stormfront:
Mormonism is a revival of the old Arian heresy, so they could be considered Arian* Christians as opposed to Nicene Christians. The WCC (http://www.wcc-coe.org/wcc/english.html), for example, only admits churches that profess Nicene Christianity. This is the reason why they will not accept the Mormons.
Mormons/Arians believe that Jesus Christ was the first creation of the Father, which is contrary to Nicene Orthodoxy which teaches that the Son of God/Logos was begotten, not made (i.e. not created) and joined with the human flesh of the Virgin Mary in the Person of Jesus Christ.
Mormon belief teaches that we are destined to be gods by nature. Nicene Orthodoxy teaches that we are destined to be gods by grace.
