View Full Version : A FOURTH Request For A Name Change
Nuclear Thoughts

And why were my other posts deleted? If you had the time to do that, you had the time to make a name change.

Your a good poster( and Im not a mod so don't get angry) so lets not have any trouble over this, I suggest specifying your name in the next vanity rather then saying "see previous thread".

I'm a very reasonable person, Otto. But when I see two other members getting their name change requests BEFORE me, even though I had made my request before THEM, that begs the question:
1: Why did a mod, seeing my request for a name change, simply ignore it? He didn't ignore the other two, but he DID ignore mine.
2: I have almost 200 posts here, and yet another member who at the time had less than 20, was IMMEDIATELY granted a name change request. My question is, why?
Again, I'm a very reasonable person, but when I see these kinds of VNN mod tactics from the mods at The Phora, I'll make that known. Finally, if there was a justifiable reason for not changing my name until two others had been granted their requests, I'd like to hear it.

When you put your thread up it said "see previous thread" rather then saying what name you wanted changed to. The other thing is the name "nuclear thoughts" on a more radical board( which some dumb fed may mistake us for) is going to get the government interested very quickly so if you specified on the other name change thread before other people( I didn't look and am not a mod) that could be a reason.
Its not worth getting angry about your name change request being slow to process on a stupid web board anyway...

I'm going on name change strike. I'm not changing anyone's name.

Don't feel bad, Edana, there are plenty of boards which don't change names at all.

This isn't a communist or european forum, in America we don't put up with that strike shit.

If I changed names "half-assed", people would complain more.

That was a nice childish rant :D
I changed two names in the last days and frankly I did not even read the request of Photon...Nuclearboy here...LOL...Nice to see that although the first to derride evil Nazi conspiracy theories he is the first on to jump on one. :p

What posts were these and who deleted them?

I don't know who deleted them, but they were several spam threads about name changes.

Wasn't me.

In case someone harbors any doubt, it wasn´t me either although I have now closed several of these repetitive spam threads.
Maybe it was our secret Admin Aryansuperman :p

Fade: As the owner of this message board, I think you'll agree I've complied with your rules. But as you know from your experiences on VNNF and Stormfront, moderators will sometimes assume the attitude that they can do no wrong. Here again is what took place:
1: I posted my request for a name change, asking that it be changed to "Nuclear Thoughts". This is a name I've used on and off for years, on other message boards, notably the old Townhall board. Furthermore, and in answer to Otto's remarks, I EXPLICITLY made it clear that the new name pertained to my thoughts, and not to nuclear warfare. View the original name change request, and you will see that that is the case.
2: I never expected "immediate service" on my request from ANY moderator. Again, I'm reasonable, and was perfectly willing to wait days, if need be. But when TWO other Phora members posted name change requests AFTER I did, and then were given them while my request was IGNORED, I think at that point I had justifiable reason to complain.
3: So, I posted ANOTHER name change request. It TOO was ignored. But no...it wasn't completely ignored, since one of your moderators then went in and DELETED my third request. Now, that begs the question: If that moderator HAD THE TIME to go in and delete my third request, then why didn't he simply change my name? And why was my request passed over to begin with?
4: Anyway, the whole issue is resolved now, since I finally had my request granted. But having experienced repeated acts of moderator "games" over on forums like VNNF and Stormfront, I always make it clear that I won't stand for them, even if means getting banned.
Other than that, you run a great forum, Fade. I hope it continues to grow, as it seems to be doing.
Thanks again for your attention to this matter.

Man, you do have issues here...
Listen...I said that the two previous name changes were done by ME and in all honesty I did not see your thread or request when I bumped on those "newer" requests which I followed. I do not know you at all nor do I have any sort of feeling towards you..so rest asured you are not so important here to have been caused harm by omision of action. Those two changes were done because I saw them and I acted upon them (although our great Admin Aryansuperman was against any change) end of story. If I would have seen yours you would have gotten your change, that simple.

Moderators are unable to change usernames. Only administrators can do that. If you need assistance with something like that, its best to just PM me. :)

Ebusitanus: "...although our great Admin Aryansuperman was against any change..."
I have no idea whom you are referring to when you say "Admin Aryansuperman", unless you mean Fade the Butcher himself. And that's fine with me if he was against any name changes; I would've kept my previous name without complaint. However, when it became clear that at least half a dozen people over the past week had changed their screen names, I decided to myself. Now, if you failed to see my request, okay. We can leave it at that.

If your name does not refer to nuclear war, why is there a mushroom cloud in your avatar? Just an honest question here.

AryanSuperman isn't me. I know who it is though now. Furthermore, I often change usernames myself. Most people PM me about that, however.
