In total 43 Divsions lost amongest those lost the bulk of 1st and 2nd SS Panzer Corps.
Leibstandarte , Das Reich , 12th SS Hitlerjugend , 9th and 10th SS Panzer Divisions Hohenstaufen and Frundesberg.
Almost all of 7th Army and the loss of the bulk all forces west of the Seine.
Attached La Cambe , resting place of over 24,000 German soldiers who died defending Normandy.
Amongest those buried there Michael Wittmann and Eugen Prinz.
