I would guess because Atlanta is such a major airport, and it is a lot less hassle to drive directly there than it is to get on one of those short 30 minute flights from somewhere closer that would stop through Atlanta anyway. Not that the Atlanta airport isn't a giant cluster**** anyway (and I haven't been through there since before 9/11 so if anything its worse now.)

I am spending the night in Atlanta tommorrow so I will leave out of here sometime tommorrow evening. My plane leaves at 6:45 EST Monday morning. That is 5:45 CST. I have to be there two hours beforehand, or 3:45 CST.
