How can we improve The Phora? How about:

1.) Shifting our focus towards creating great highbrow discussion forums.
2.) Giving The Phora a more international orientation.
3.) Deleting useless trolls.
4.) Better security.

How are you going to achieve a more international orientation?

Add more international forums. Advertise them.

1.) Shifting our focus towards creating great highbrow discussion forums.

That would be a great idea, but the occassional short comment back I think is alright, so in other words lowbrow discussion is needed.

2.) Giving The Phora a more international orientation.

Europeans/Europeans abroad

3.) Deleting useless trolls.

If someone starts posting things to be a turd or will not responde to a topic relatively, then yeah definately.

4.) Better security.

Indeed, Many people on their computers are worried what is said and not said. I like the Fatherland area for that though.

5.) creating and enforcing rules against ad hominem remarks and personal invective.

Bringing back the 'Ideology' display? That would be sweet.

Fair and unbiased moderation.

On the "old" board it was fine to say, "Stupid black monkey gets killed by heroic blone Nordic" but say anything bad against Hitler and your post was deleted and you got warned.

Yeah. We need a standardized set of rules. We are working on that.

The primary advantage of having a more international membership is to keep the board active throughout the day. Different people come online at different times in different parts of the world.

Are you going to get a new skin?

Yes. Please. This is one of my biggest gripes about a certain large "White" forum.

Yuck. I just agreed with Ixabert. I need a shower.

I can advertize the existance of the board to quite a few Flemish people, but alas, they're all either interested in messageboards OR intelligent, seldom interested in messageboards AND intelligent. Still, every new member counts I guess.

unlikely, at least in the old forum a NS flaming a "commie scum" could say whatever, while vice versa resulted in insta-ban lol. Not that i have a problem with that, but you'll have a hard time making standardized/non-biased rules

"Stupid black monkey" is a factual statement.

That's one way of putting it, but I am sure you ODers can do better than that. ;)

Scum is still scum and we don't want that sort here any longer. There are plenty of places on the net for that kind of thing, VNN and Stormfront come to mind.
