Jan Ullrich is set for showdown talks with his T-Mobile team manager Walter Godefroot, who has questioned the 1997 Tour de France winner's commitment.
Ullrich finished fourth in this year's race, prompting Godefroot to say the German "cycled to live", while winner Lance Armstrong "lives for cycling".
But five-time Tour runner-up Ullrich hit back: "I cannot let that go. "I will clear up what he has said. If he says it to my face then I will take the appropriate steps." Though Ullrich would not specify what action he would take, he said he planned to confront Godefroot at next week's HEW Cyclassics event in Hamburg.
