I couldn't answer some of these questions really accurately. :(

When I'm around certain (most) people, I'm quiet, polite, and cold and reserved enough to make anyone back off. When I'm around others (a very small group of others), I'm loud, talkative, irreverant, warm and cuddly.

#1 English (It's the Shakespeare, the records and the humor, isn't it?)

#2 Japanese (Not religious, is that it? I hate work, can't be that)

#3 French (Paintings and pompousness I assume)

#4 Italian (Paintings again, and what else? There were no pasta questions but I wish there were!)

#5 Scandinavian (Didn't know this one was a "nation". The metal music question did it for me, I know it)

#6 American (My only concern is that this came up so high)

#7 Jewish (The humor, again)

#8 German (Well yeah, I'm learning German)

#9 Irish (I'm not a redhead and I don't drink and drive)

#10 Polish (what makes one Polish, really? When do you get Polish in #1? Seriously)

I did the test the first time and I scored identical with Phlegethon only to realize that I had missed 2 questions (the clean streets and the metal music) Alas the second time I took it, it all changed drastically. Cruel fate!

No surprise here, my aversion to work combined with my fondness for art, eating and alcohol are probably responsible for the Italian ranking. Not being tolerant probably had me out of Scandinavia, and my dislike of work out of Germany, I have no idea why the test put me as Jewish last, but I am rather pleased to see it that way.

I like the Japanese, if only for these two reasons:

1.) Sushi
2.) Sake

I got quite drunk off of that stuff Sunday night. It's stronger than it tastes, which really threw me off...I was just drinking it happily, eating a caterpillar roll and then WHAM..Sake drunk. A good time overall.

It is better to be German than American, but I got 'English', and pray tell, what is wrong with that result? What if you had got 'English' or 'Italian'? Would you be disappointed? Is German the only #1 result you would have accepted? Why is 'German' the only result that matters to you?

Whoa, I was talking about my results. All that mattered to me was German since that really is my true nationality, so I got the result right, the rest wasn't relevant. If I were English, English would be my #1. But I am just a proud German, simple as that.

My nationality is not even an option. No matter how many times I take the test, I will never get what 'really is my true nationality'. This was my point. This test should have included all the major nationalities, not just some European ones and the Jewish one. This is okay: the test was not a wholly serious one. But if someone were to devise a serious 'nationality' test, he should include every major nationality in the world, not just European ones (and American and Jewish).

Of course it remains the same (nowhere did I say otherwise). My point was only that if someone were to make a serious nationality test, he should include all important nationalities. Also, the questions were biased, and the way in which they were to be answered was to me awkward.

Do not misunderstand: I am not disappointed with my result. I just think that I could have got nationality more accurate.

LOL I told you we were similar Perun!

P.S. Does anyone else find it strange that I got Polish followed by Irish, and so did Milesian(not as #1 and #2, but still), Edana got Polish followed by Irish as well, so did Madrussian, Fade, Dr. Mengele, Utnapishtim, Carl Rylander, Jack, Antiohos Epifanis, Ixabert, Rumblestrip, and Triglav, while several others got Polish and Irish with 1 between. AWAR and Baba Yaga both got Irish just before Polish. I remember Norman Davies in his book ‘Europe: A History’ saying how the description of ‘Eastern European’ best suited the Irish, and since all the new states have come into the EU, I’ve seen several articles on how similar the Irish and the Eastern Europeans are. Isn’t it also interesting that the 2 Irish people here(myself and Geist) both got Polish as our #1? Maybe something that will be debated in the near future?

I've noticed the strong similarity as well. In fact Im just reading about the near similarities between the Eastern Christianity and the Celtic Christianity. In fact I have a nice Ukrainian article talking about this and how there was a presence of Irish monks in Kiev. Many Celtic Christian sites I've visited literally link or quote directly from Eastern Christian resources. I know Peter the Great based many of his policies concering Ukraine off those imposed on the Irish by Britian. Likewise, Ukrainian nationalists of the 1920's saw themselves as comrades-in-arms with their Irish counter-parts. Our peoples are indeed similar in many ways.

May explain my strong infatuation with the Celts and their heritage. :)

It means the Irish are more Polish than the Poles, and the Poles are more Irish than the Irish :)

Generally, I think Irish culture is very much loved around Eastern Europe.
Most the movies I've seen about Irish life, history etc. resemble the atmosphere and the 'soul' of the Slavic peoples. So... cheers! :)
