Seems like a lot of folk etymology to me.

Amo Amish Pronounced ah-mo.

I live in PA and have never once heard this, nor any other derogatory term for the amish.

Nuprin: Asians "Little, yellow, different."

That is actually funny. Makes 1 out of a few hundred.

LOL Yeah that is pretty good.

I was looking for some terms for natives, but I didn't find any really good ones that I hadn't heard already.

Gasbag (not the best term, though very true)

Buffalo Jockey (funny)

"Prairie nigger" and "squaw" will always be my favourites.

Q.U.B. did some research into sectarian attitudes in the early 90's.
They discovered that Children picked up most of their discrimination at home , sad fact was discovered that until about 8-10 years of age they lacked this baggage.
Children from good socio economic backgrounds and those who had educated parrents seemed not to pick up on discrimination , children from working class areas aquired it as a matter of course.
Probably nothing new in this but it comes to mind again when racist terms are mentioned , its all pretty much of a muchness.
Most racist statement I ever heard and it shocked me , was made by one asian about another from a different country.

I've never once lived in PA, and have never once heard that either. I can safely say that my favourite derogatory term for the Amish is: "idiots".

Really? I remember back in elementary school, an affluent school, kids could be so goddamn bigoted. Asians were the targets, since we had no blacks.

It is impossible to go through life without discrimination.
