Milan Baros has pledged to stay at Liverpool and fight for a place in the first team.
The Czech striker was linked with a move away from Anfield after winning the Golden Boot at Euro 2004.
"I have heard all the rumours about Real Madrid and Barcelona supposedly being interested in me and of course it is nice," he said.
"But I am back at Liverpool now ready for a new season and I want to stay here and play as many games as I can."
Baros made only 18 appearances for Liverpool last season after suffering a broken ankle which sidelined him for six months.
"I have been at the club for two-and-a-half years," said the 23-year-old. "So far I have had more disappointing moments than happy moments, but I want that to change. "I know I cannot play in every game and I also know that we have other world-class strikers here like Michael Owen and Djibril Cisse, but I will do my best to persuade the manager to keep picking me."
